Shooting on a white background

To be honest this is alot harder than it looks lol.Had two lights on the background,hair light,large soft box camera left & a strip box camera right.

Had problems with light reflecting from the background but trial & error I am pretty happy but still alot more to learn.

life is a beach

While holidaying in the Philippines I was having a beverage & lunch at a beach side resort & they had a heat in a local bikini contest.

I was invited down to take a few pictures but all I had was a 580EX for fill.

Did a bit of tweaking in photoshop & pretty happy with the result considering it was 2pm.

Pin Up

Trying to learn different styles & going through some old pictures thought I would try my hand at making pin up style of photograph.

"Busting"

Had a shoot with Erin from Model Mayhem & Erin was looking for some fun in some new shoots as she told me she was getting stereo typed with wedding shots etc.

As we had a spa room at a hotel we thought we would make use of everything in the room time permitting & had some fun.

Cow parade in the south west

For this month there is a cow parade around the south west of Western Australia.Over 80 cows produced by local artists.
World wide event with the cows auctione off & proceeds donated to charity.World wide event held in New york,Paris & London.
Alot of the cows were in wineries(tried not to drink too much lol),cheese factories & anything do to with tourism.
Alot of the cows had busy backgrounds & it was hard to get decent pictures.

I like this one alot as the winery where this was held had a sense of humour & you had to follow the cow pats to find the cow.
Treated in CS4 to get a different feel.All shot using a bare 430EX

Reflections

Had a shoot called Wet n Wild with 5 other photographers,nice to go to a shoot but it is a bit rushed for me with several people trying to shoot in a limited time.
But I learnt alot so that means alot to me.

One of my favourite images but still not happy with the result,could be better.

WHat do you like for Breakfast?

Had another TFP shoot with Roxanne looking for something different to the normal bath shot & something colourful at the same time.
We came up with the following two pictures which are my favourites.

Life savers Subic Bay - Philippines 2009

While staying in Subic I was amazed at the level of disrepair of the life saving facilities & the age of the life savers.

Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009 - Philippines

Held at Clark Air Base & here is a couple of processed images that make it look like a rampaging elephant going through the crowd.

Had a shot late last year with Roxanne,doing a concept she was wanting to try with a little variance on the original.

One 430EX shot thru a 32in umbrulla using the white walls & ceiling as reflectors with the flash situated camera left on 1/2 power

15 minutes of fame

Just did a recent shoot with Roxanne(images will be up shortly) & within 4 days one image is on a US radio station with the image posted & asking listeners to put a caption to the image.

Not sure if I should be flattered or annoyed they published the image without asking permission.
I emailed them & at least they have added who took the picture &a link to where the picture is.

Met up with a local University student from model Mahyem & we did a character shoot with her favourite anime characters.

White Tiger - Singapore Zoo

Every time I visit Singapore I just have to visit their zoo,fantastic layout & one of my favourite animals is the white tiger.





Could spend hours watching & photgraphing these magnificent animals which are on the verge of extinction.
